I got on the road around 7:30am yesterday morning, passing through Arkansas, a state I had not been to before. I took a short trip through Tennessee via Memphis and picked up Sobra in Mississippi, another state I have never been to :)From there we headed to Alabama, taking the scenic route through Birmingham, where we noticed that pretty much everyone has a swing of some sort on their front porch. During this "off the beaten path" sidetrack I reminded Sob several times that, well, in Birmingham they love the governor.
After that we took the back roads (I kid you not, a two lane, winding highway, after dark seeing lots of deer, but no giant wild hogs) through Alabama and into Georgia, stopping for the night in Tifton.
While in Tifton we stayed up WAY TOO LATE, unbelievably having so much more to say that did not get said in the previous 1o hours in the car ;)
