ROAD TRIP!!

I am on my way to pick up my good friend and international traveling companion, Sobra.  I am staying near Cape Girardeau, MO, having come through St. Louis and remembering so much as I passed familiar places and signs:  O'Fallon, Ladue, DesPeres.  We got our first computer at a Famous Barr right off the freeway I was on... an Apple IIe.  Wowie we thought we were really something.  Remember those things?  You had to type in control characters to get a capital letter, and a control character to STOP the capitalizing, a control character to indent a paragraph, a control character to underline...  And we thought it was too cool.  And the games!  Apple Panic, Wolfenstein, Taxman: (an aside to Mark: do you remember when you  first got to level ... 5 was it?  It was in our livingroom in Frontenac and you were yelling A CAR!! A CAR!)
 But I am forgetting what I wanted to blog about.  Look at this fabulous room I am staying in:

Also, on Day One of the Road Trip, I saw a Tundra Swan, flying right along side the road and a wild turkey, walking right along side the road.
