Melissa got her new retainer yesterday. It is only costing $350 as opposed to the usual $500 for this item. John and I said at about the same time, "He must feel sorry for us and all the orthodonture we need done in our family." After a pause we both said (again at the same time...great minds, you know), "No... he is letting us think we got a break because he fully intends to get about $3000 more out of us before the year is out!" Just kidding... we really like our orthodontist... I am sure we would like him more if he weren't costing us so much.
The streak on Melissa's face is from the chocolate treat John got her after the appointment... I am sure candy is just what the dentist would have recommended, too.
