Swimming Lessons

Each year swimming lessons take up every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon and evening from the beginning of March through mid-April. We have 8 kids taking lessons, and in previous years that has meant being at the school from 3pm until 7:30pm, putting us back home at about 8pm. This used to be such a drag for me... the pool area is hot, hot, hot. Four hours of watching kids in the pool is BORING... Jaime had been such a handful in previous years that I could in no way lose myself in a book... Last year, however, I learned that 4 laps around the inside hallways of the school = one mile. Now I have something that I like to do during lessons. I walk/run 4 laps during each lesson, for a total of 3 miles. This is a mile less then last year because - HOORAY!- this year we get out of there by 6:15!
