Bowser and Snookie

Of all the dogs we have had over the years, I really love these two. Living in the country with hundreds of acres in our backyard, it is usually a bad idea to get too attached to the animals that live outside. All kinds of things can happen to animals that live alongside wolves and such. Just living in the country and being able to roam gives animals access to all kinds of potential problems.... from melting ice over deep water ponds to owls --and actually we could use a few owls to swoop in and cull the cat population about now.... but why is it they always pick the ones I like the most to have for supper?-- Indeed, it seems the likelihood of an animal meeting an early end is increased by the amount I like said animal.
Bowser and Snookie are the nicest dogs to hug up and pet... such calm dogs, too. These two mellow, happy dogs have been here 3 years (for Bowser, the brown St. Bernard mix) and 2 years (for Snookie, the Border Collie). Sure hope they keep out of trouble and stick around awhile.

I have two dogs, both part Border Collie, and I love the mix. Any future dog will definitely have some Border collie in her! And by the way, our dogs got a hawk the other day; how, I don't know, but sometimes dinner bites back!
