Homemade Suet

Each fall I buy several of the pre-made suet blocks that fit so nicely into the store bought suet feeders. And each Spring we end up with barely touched suet feeders dripping melting suet down the cedar posts on our deck. Last fall, as part of our Science class, we made our own suet. The birds just love it! They have eaten up 4 blocks of it and this is the fifth one being nibbled by a little chickadee. The only thing about it the birds don't like is the raisins. All the raisins are laying on the ground under the feeder. So next time we will eat the raisins ourselves :)
