This little sweet potato is John's cousin Kay's baby boy. He was born just 19 days ago (a month early) with a herniated diaphragm which allowed his intestines to grow through the hole and develop inside his chest cavity. He has spent these same 19 days on a heart/lung machine. He had the surgery to repair the hernia last week, and just came off the h/l machine yesterday. Oh how their on line diary takes me back to our "baby in ICU" days. Isn't he just so precious? Praise God for LIFE!
