Lake Superior North Shore With Reuben and Tom

It was just an overnighter, but what a good time we had. It was so nice to go somewhere with Tom and Reuben... I would be hard pressed to find two better behaved boys. We got a hotel room with a balcony right on the lakeshore, and watched the moon come up over the lake with a huge 3 mast schooner in the background... wow was that neat.

We collected lots of rocks, went up to the falls on the Canadian border and threw rocks clear to Canada :) Tom and Reuben each threw at least a ton of rocks a piece from the shore back into Lake Superior. We stopped at Grand Portage National Monument and learned more about The Grand Portage and the voyageurs.

I couldn't have asked for better traveling companions; they were all the while asking me, "What do you want to do next, Mom?"
