A Couple More From the North Shore

Here the boys are sitting on American rocks, and across the Pigeon River (the falls are the reason for The Grand Portage) you can see the bottom on the cliffs on the Canadian side. Thankfully the boys understand my fear of heights, and my paranoia about them getting too close to the edge, so they did not beg me to skirt the edges of the cliffs for a better view. I did let them wander out a bit on the rocks in the rushing water under the falls.

While at the Temperance River, I did not even take pictures of the Bruce Willis Wannabee who was diving off the cliffs (at least a 30 foot drop) into what looked like a 10 foot pool beneath (I did not want any kid EVER thinking that was cool and mom must think so too, look she tooks pictures). And I thoroughly dissed the two 14 year old girls in the almost non-existent bikinis who were giggling and trying to screw up courage to jump while some middle-aged overweight dude was yelling, daring them to do it.... well I didn't actually diss them out loud, but I let my boys know what shape their butt would be in should they EVER try a stunt like that.
