I remember that song from when I was a kid, it was probably around before my time and I think they still sing it now :) While I was on my way back from Cleveland in our "new" car, John took Kat, Pete, Becca, Tom and Reuben to Minneapolis for a Twins game. They met Mary Ellen and Charlie at the game and had a blast. We decided to splurge for a night at the
Embassy Suites downtown which is just a 2 block walk to the metrodome, (it is actually cheaper to have one suite there than 2 hotel rooms out in the 'burbs'). They got to the game early to a fairly empty stadium, got free posters, watched all the warm up stuff. By the time the game started it was a sell out crowd.Meanwhile, I spent almost 18 hours not even listening to the radio. I finished every thought I started! I did not think about parenting... I kid you not! It was sweltering heat, I had the moon roof open, the windows down... It was great! John called me when I was somewhere in Wisconsin and asked me how the A/C works in the new car. SAY WHAT? What do you take me for? Like I would turn on the A/C in summer EVER? Not a chance. I know the rest of the country is hating the heat, and it is hard on a lot of people, but I love it. We probably only get three hot days a year, and I say BRING IT ON!
