On Sunday I weeded for a couple of hours in our big garden. It needed it desperately, but boy my hands have been aching ever since and my knuckles all swollen from what I like to think is 'work induced' arthritis :) I seriously hate to think what my hands will look like in a few years, all gnarled and such, but welcome to the youth of my old age, I guess.
Today is Mary's birthday. She is five years old today, but just started wearing diapers again recently. That is working out fine, and she is more than happy to be the baby. She sits in her high chair, gets rocked and a nap every day. According to lots of the adoption stuff we have read, sometimes a kiddo needs to go back to areas of their life that they missed and do it again. Maybe this is the case with her. As I said, she is enjoying babyhood immensely, so we shall see. Since she had decided to start peeing continually again, and also now pooping her pants, too, it seemed worth a shot to try the diapers. In addition, I have got Desitin on her after every diaper change so her rashy butt is finally looking better. I don't really mind the diapers, after all "do what you need to do" as my college psych prof used to say.... but big kid poop ups are really a bad smelling thing, the odor tends to cling to a persons butt... or hand.... and is not easily gotten rid of. Ok, so is that too much info then?
