First Robins of Spring

There is a little flock of robins in the yard this morning! Yesterday the kids found a little water beetle (the kind we find in the pool when the clorinator needs filling!) in a puddle in the driveway. The promise of Spring... I always intend to write down the dates for all the "firsts" of Spring, but so far have never made the effort. Thanks to my blog, we may now have a record of those firsts...
I am so inspired to see the robins return. Now I will eagerly await the peepers. It is hard to believe that it is at least two months before we will see leaves on the trees. The highs have been in the 40s with sun, the low temps will supposedly be above freezing (ok, so what if it is only 34-35 degrees) the next three nights ... the kids have had to restrain me from getting out the deck furniture.
