After a short IEP meeting with John and a third-grade teacher (she is a peach) this morning, John headed off to a meeting and I headed to a nearby trail with the home schooled kids. There are two parts to the walk we went on, one being a fitness trail. It is right in the woods, no one around at all, just a few grouse that we jumped as everyone tried their skills on the different stations:I am excited thinking about the things I am going to do towards my Large Family Minimalist goals in the coming days/weeks/months. Before I move my bedroom from its absolutely wonderful spring/summer/fall location, I am going to totally empty the room I am moving back into. Then, using a tip I found in my minimalist readings, I am only putting in that room the things that are absolutely necessary. After that, I will add the things that I love to have around me or that make my room more beautiful to me.
My friend, Lisa, mentioned to me that she also would like to minimize, but she loves a lot of her things. I should say I have no intention of tossing out anything that I love. I DO intend to be totally ruthless in deciding what I really do love and what might be past its prime in that department.
But first things first: By the end of this day I will have posted my list of 33 wardrobe items needed for PROJECT 333. (By the way, the author of that challenge is Courtney over at Be More With Less... her blog is inspirational!)
