Two More Days
with Joshua :( On Tuesday morning his recruiter will pick him up and get him on his way to Basic Training at Ft. Benning, Georgia. I cannot think about it too seriously, or I will spend a great part of these last few days crying instead of enjoying his company. This picture was taken at the bowling alley. We have been bowling as a home school activity every Tuesday since the beginning of January. Next Tuesday it will be Thomas, Reuben, Jackie, Molly, Rebecca and me, missing Joshua. I am proud of him, excited for him, and can't believe he will not be around any more. I am giving him several pieces of advice over and over again: Stay out of bars, stay out of strip joints, stay away from loose women, read your Bible every day, seek out the chaplain first thing, don't miss church on Sunday...ever. Oh Lord, take care of my son, may he bring glory to you, the God he serves. **sniff**

I sure he will be okay... although the missing him will truly be the hardest part.
I'm sure he will be a credit to God and to his parents. And I'll be thinking of you...
God bless you Josh! Remember what your parents have taught you and you will do fine, your mom maybe not so fine! BTDT with two sons, and it is hard!
Blessings to you and your beautiful family!
My son served from Ft. Benning, as well.
All those things you warned him about ... oh so true of the way many young service men spend their time. So sad!
