I have long suspected that my mom is buried on the other side of this plot, not where her name is on the stone. You could not tell for sure where the grass had been replaced by the time the stone was put in, but it sure looked like it was on the other side.
When John's mom died and they were talking about markers, Ginny found out that the woman is traditionally buried on the right side. When I was in St. Cloud last weekend I went to my mom's grave to put out an autumn type decoration. I looked around the cemetery and sure enough, pretty much all the women are on the right, guys on the left... hmm... not sure there is much to do about it at this late date (15+ years later). Perhaps when my mother's former husband dies (he is married to someone else now) and I find he is NOT using that plot, I will put in another marker. In the meantime I am pretty sure my mom does not care :)
Praise the Lord for Eternal Life!!
