If Not For Spoon Tomatoes...

we would not have eaten a tomato for most of the summer. They were the only ones that set any fruit to speak of this year, until mid-August anyway.My friend from church told me about these last spring. Aren't they pretty little things? And the leaves, which you can't really see here, are small, delicate and kind of lacy looking. Trouble is, one handful in no way satisfies and when you have 13 people picking every one the second it turns, well two plants in deck containers just don't cut it.
I am still hoping to keep the frost off the giant patch until those ripen... TONS of them :) Today's high temp is near 80 and that is darn nice tomato ripening weather... skippy do!
