When my bigger kids were younger I used to point to the neighboring houses and tell them: I want you to grow up and live there... I want you to buy that place there... I had dreams in my head of my grandbabies running across the field to my house to have lunch with me or help with the chickens and such.
Cindy actually does have adult kids that live near her... they built places on the acreage she owns... and I am so envious. :)
So, when these kids took over the old entryway for their fort and told me they are going to fix it up, paint it, put screens on it and when they get big they are going to live with me all their life... I said "Go for it! I hope you do live near me all my life and take me to church when I am old and help me can beets and stuff and start my car for me when it is real cold, and send your kids over so I can do stuff with them when you are busy." And I truly do hope that.
