Jaime's Meds

Jaime's new behavior meds have not been too effective. She has really given us a time recently. Poor her... she really has no idea why she can't control her behavior, and when she starts up, there is just no reasoning with her. I used to be able to stroke her hair or her arm and she would start sobbing and be able to listen to me... no more. Yesterday we had to leave church as she was so badly behaved. Unfortunately it just escalated until I was was concerned we would need to go to the psych ER to stop her raging. Today I called the ped. psych office (where Jaime went until last fall when her neurologist took over the drug monitoring) and let them know we needed to get her in to see someone. They said they can't get her in until August, but if I wanted I could take her to the Psych ER. We have decided not to pursue that as we are nervous that they will try to do an inpatient eval. There is not a chance I could leave her in an inpatient facility, so we will wait for August I guess, and just try to hold on until then. Doesn't look like we will be going too many places between now and then.
