John's 50th birthday celebration was held on Saturday which was also Lucas' 25th birthday. What a beautiful day... The pool was a steamy 97 degrees, and though the temp outside was a mere 65, we all got more than enough sun. Even John's mom got into the pool! We had a fantastic lobster dinner... with 15 lobsters in all I think, corn on the cob that was roasted in the husk on the grill and lots of other good stuff.
We had a great bonfire with a chimney log. The sunset was beautiful, as are so many we have had in this place. The OLD folks (John and I, Tom and Sharlene) put the party to bed between 3:30 and 4:00am. We had some great laughs and listened to some old rock from back when... everything from Johnny Winter to Frank Zappa (yes the littles in bed when we dragged out Frank)... so much fun. How fast the years have gone by.
